Grey Street
Oh look at how she listens
She says nothing of what she thinks
She just goes stumbling through her memories
Staring out on to Grey Street.
She thinks, “Hey, how did I come to this?”
I dream myself a thousand times around the world
But I can’t get out of this place.
There’s an emptiness inside her
And she’ll do anything to fill it in
But all the colors mix together - to grey
And it breaks her heart
How she wishes it was different
She prays to God most every night
And though she swears it doesn’t listen
There’s still a hope in her it might
She says “I pray oh But they fall on deaf ears,
am I supposed to take it on myself?
To get out of this place? “
Oh There’s a loneliness inside her
And she’ll do anything to fill it in
And though it’s red blood bleeding from her now
It feels like cold blue ice in her heart
When all the colors mix together - to grey
And it breaks her heart
There’s a stranger speaks outside her door
Says take what you can from your dreams
Make them as real as anything
Oh It’d take the work out of the courage
But she says “Please
There’s a crazy man that’s creeping outside my door,
I live on the corner of Grey Street
and the end of the world.”
There’s an emptiness inside her
And she’ll do anything to fill it in
And though it’s red blood bleeding from her now
It’s more like cold blue ice in her heart
She feels like kicking out all the windows
And setting fire to this life
She could change everything about her
Using colors bold and bright
But all the colors mix together - to grey
And it breaks her heart
To Grey…
Things you should know about her..
Always remind her that she’s beautiful. Everyone knows she is she just love to be reminded.
She loves her Mom and her sister Gayle so much, expect a lot of help from them when you need
Black coffee and cream gives her a stomach ache, It’s always a Grande dark mocha extra shot and Macadamia cookies that’s perfect
She may act bossy or mataray to you at times.. but just repeat this line over and over again.. “It’s all part of the charm”
She wears Bulgari Omnia Amethyst.. don’t forget that
If she says she doesn’t want to talk to you.. it’s not a metaphor.. Believe her and give her time
She loves to dance.. Encourage her
She doesn’t say what she feels until she breaks down, make sure you are there when she does and make sure she’s away from the crowd. Crying doesn’t fit her.. Smiling does
Finally.. the time with her is the happiest you will ever be.. Enjoy every second of it…
Euro Trip; April 2012
There’s nothing else to say about Europe really besides Breathtaking.. 21 days is not enough to go around this beautiful place. I’ve crossed out a lot of things on my list on this trip alone.. I wonder how next years trip’s gonna go.. Two more continents and I’ve literally been around the world.. How about that.. :)
Via Nowhere and Everywhere
Palacio Real de Madrid - Madrid, Spain; 2012
Its one of those places wherein I would be happy just to see the outside but they forced me to go in to see the whole thing and to understand what the significance of this place..
No pictures allowed inside so that was a drag, but 10 euros to see rococo, baroque and post modern and renaissance art and rooms is just way too steep.. But over all it was alright, like what I said on my other post “I’m already here, so might as well..”
Via Nowhere and Everywhere
Museo Nacional Reyna Sofia, Madrid, Spain; 2012
Im not an art fan but since I’m already here in Madrid, might as well.. And, other than having pretty awesome pieces and collections they have Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol and the infamous Pablo Picasso.. So.. I guess It ain’t that bad.. And, I like this better than the Prado..
Via Nowhere and Everywhere
Plaza Cibeles, Madrid, Spain; 2012
You have to be either Spanish, a person who loves Greek Mythology or a Real Madrid fan to understand the significance of this beautiful goddess. So every time the Los Blancos win the Spanish La Liga, the go to this fountain and wrap around her neck the teams scarf.
Ever since I became a fan, I’ve always wanted to go here.. and now.. Plaza, Cibeles.. Check!!
Isla Ilhabela, Sao Paulo, Brazil; 2010
Ilhabela, Portugese for beautiful Island and indeed it is. A 15 minute ferry ride from the city of Sao Sebastiao is the only access to this island. One of the places in Brazil where I wouldn’t think twice of coming back to. One of the best beaches i’ve been in my whole life.
